What are Femtabs®?

New Femtabs, developed in conjunction with ob/gyn’s, is the first supplement to supply essential vitamins and minerals to help support the nutritional needs of hormonal (estrogen and/or progestin) contraceptive users.† As reported in studies, hormonal contraceptives can affect the metabolism of several nutrients and result in deficiencies or increased dietary requirements.

Femtabs is designed to provide specific micronutrients that are tied to reported nutritional deficiencies and needs of women using hormonal contraceptives. Femtabs tablets are formulated with a “Triple Complex” of nutrients that includes an essential B complex of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, biotin and folic acid, an important antioxidant complex including vitamin A as beta-Carotene, selenium, vitamin C, vitamin E and a mineral complex containing calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, copper, chromium, potassium, iodine and a small amount of iron; all key nutrients known to be helpful for women taking hormonal contraceptives.

Folate is included to help prevent documented deficiences noted in hormonal contraceptive prescribing information (package inserts) that can result in cervical abnormalities and anemia's.

Moreover, a major B complex component of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, biotin and folate combined with vitamins C, E and magnesium, help support heart and vascular health.

Key antioxidants, including vitamins A, C and E, selenium and lutein, help protect hormonal contraceptive users from increased oxidative stress and free radical damage. Zinc is also provided for its antioxidant properties. Overall, the critical nutrients and antioxidants supplies by Femtabs have been shown to help reduce the potential toxicity of hormonal contraceptives.

Indications

Femtabs® may be a useful dietary adjunct for women taking hormonal contraceptives.

Suggested use - Adults take 1 tablet daily with meals or as directed by your healthcare professional.

Side Effects - No adverse effects have been reported.

Storage - Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct light.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if sfaety seal is damaged or missing.

Warning: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately.

Caution: Do not exceed recommended dose. Avoid taking this product in conjunction with other dietary supplements which contain high levels of elemental chromium. Betaine hydrochloride should not be used by individuals with a history of peptic ulcers or any condition associated with excess acidity. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18, and individuals with a known medical condition including heartburn and diabetes should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. This product is manufactured and packaged in a facility which may alo process milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and crustacean shellfish.
