DOCTOR DEVELOPED and RECOMMENDED

Osseointegration Support Supplement
Promotes Bone Health in Implant Patients†

What is BONE-TITE™?

BONE-TITE was developed in conjunction with experts in bone metabolism and bone growth for use with patients that require nutritional insurance before and after implant procedures. Key vitamins, minerals, and nutrients are supplied for proper bone and soft tissue growth, repair, and overall health during osseointegration.

BONE-TITE is the new choice of implant surgeons for recommendation to patients as part of a homecare regimen. Some BONE-TITE features include:

  • Provides cortical bone building vitamins, minerals, and key nutrients
  • Helps fortify bone and soft tissue in preparation for surgery
  • Promotes soft tissue healing and osteogenesis (osteoblast formation) after surgery
  • With continued use, supports overall osseointegration

BONE-TITE is an over-the-counter dietary supplement product developed in conjunction with prosthodontists, periodontists, and other dental professional experts in bone metabolism and bone growth for use with patients that may require nutritional insurance before and after dental implant procedures. BONE-TITE provides key vitamins, minerals, and nutrients known to be helpful for proper bone and soft tissue growth, repair, and overall health during osseointegration.

BONE-TITE is formulated to provide osseointegration specific micronutrients. The formula is built around a “Bone-Complex” of key ingredients that have been most closely associated with benefits to help heal, repair and strengthen bone structure. Formula ingredients include calcium, vitamins D3 and K1, minerals magnesium, zinc, manganese, potassium and copper, and bone fortifying agents such as Ipriflavone, Bromelain, Boron, and L-Lysine.

BONE-TITE formula components have been shown to be helpful for patients that, because of deficiencies or underlying health issues, may be susceptible to reduced osseointegration and implant failure and may require or benefit from specific nutritional support.

BONE-TITE is promoted to dental professionals for recommendation to patients before and after implant procedures. Patients will obtain the product from a dental practice during implant procedure orientation or purchase the product online or via a toll-free telephone number.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is critical to bone health. It helps stimulate the production and action of osteoblasts; the cells that build bone. It also helps the body build the fibrous soft tissue parts of bones, including the scaffolding that precedes hard bone formation in healing. Vitamin C deficiency increases the risk of infection.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is an essential nutrient in the repair of bone and overall bone health. Blood levels fall in patients with healing bones. Vitamin D helps maintain alveolar bone integrity by assisting absorption and utilization of key minerals, such as calcium and magnesium, required to build and keep healthy skeletal structures.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K plays an important role in the synthesis of a key bone protein, osteocalcin. Osteocalcin, a marker of osteoblastic activity, improves the attachment of bone-resorbing cells to bone and supports bone remodeling. Vitamin K partners with vitamin D to help your body use calcium.

Calcium

Calcium is one of the most important minerals for overall growth and maintenance of bones.

Magnesium

Magnesium influences the utilization of calcium in alveolar bone. Deficiency can produce a lower rate of alveolar bone formation.

Zinc

Decreased zinc serum levels have been associated with increases in alveolar bone loss indexes. Clinical trials in humans demonstrated an inverse relationship between serum levels of zinc and tooth-supporting alveolar bone loss. Zinc also helps accelerate wound healing in patients following surgery.

Manganese

Manganese is a key trace mineral and essential for enzymes needed for healthy bone formation.

Copper

Copper helps maintains and repair bone. Blood levels fall following surgery; may increase the rate of bone healing.

Potassium

Studies suggest that increased consumption of potassium is associated with increased bone mineral density. This evidence, combined with other studies and a few clinical trials, suggests that dietary potassium may improve bone health.

Ipriflavone

Ipriflavone is made from another substance (daidzein) that is taken from soy. Ipriflavone is used for preventing and treating weak bones in several clinical presentations.

Bromelain

Bromelain consists of a group of enzymes found in pineapple juice and in the pineapple stem.

Bromelain is used for helping to reduce pain, e.g., after surgery and injury. Bromelain seems to cause the body to produce substances that fight pain and swelling (inflammation).

Boron

Boron is a mineral used in patients with weak or brittle bones. Boron affects the way the body handles other minerals such as calcium and magnesium. It also seems to increase estrogen levels in older (post-menopausal) women and healthy men. Estrogen is thought to be helpful in maintaining healthy bones. Boron may also have antioxidant effects.

L-lysine

Lysine is an essential amino acid required for bone growth. It also helps aid calcium uptake.

Osseointegration is defined as the direct structural and functional connection between the living bone and surface of an implant. The ability of an implant to bond with the surrounding host bone is another fundamental requirement for permanent implants. Insufficient osseointegration can lead to the formation of fibrous tissues and ensuing loosening of the implant. Factors such as design, chemical composition, surface roughness, and surface chemistry of the implants, loading conditions, and proper nutrition are all important to good osseointegration of implants.
