NEW NAME AND FORMULATION TO REPLACE LASH ADVANCE
MediNiche no longer uses the LASH ADVANCE tradename or formula but is pleased to announce that it has been replaced by new and improved, OcuLash, lash and brow gel, with two (2) new, major enhancements and no price increase.
- Based on recent marketing research conducted among optometrists, opticians and eyecare patients/consumers, MediNiche will now offer a lash and brow gel with the tradename, OcuLash. The new name tested favorably during market research and was preferred among our customer audiences due to several factors, including:
- OcuLash is a more appropriate product name --- clean and descriptive.
- OcuLash is not confusing in the marketplace; no close competitive tradenames.
- While we were in the process of naming our new product, we took advantage of the time to formulate OcuLash with new and improved ingredients. New OcuLash contains an updated PeptiPlex®, peptide complex. The formula has been upgraded to include not one (like the former Lash Advance formula), but two (2) peptides to help thicken lash hair follicles. In addition, OcuLash contains a broad spectrum of lash and brow health ingredients including vitamins, botanicals and moisturizing agents that hydrate, condition and strengthen lashes and brows; making them look longer, thicker, fuller and more lustrous in weeks. Also, OcuLash is gentle enough to be used by contact lens wearers and those with sensitive skin.
Lashes and brows grow from a vital portion of the skin called the follicle; a dynamic hub of cellular activity and life. Lash and brow fibers originate at a terminal point called the hair bulb where living dermal papilla cells divide and absorb melanin. The hair fiber is quite alive throughout the entire length of the hair follicle. Introduction
OcuLash is formulated with a unique blend of natural ingredients, including not one but two (2) peptides to help thicken lash hair follicles, in a clear gel that promotes the appearance of longer, fuller, thicker lashes and brows within weeks.
OcuLash will not irritate eyes and is suitable for use with contact lenses, eyelash extensions, permanent makeup and those that have had visual correction surgery.
Healthy Alternative
Oculash utilizes quality cosmeceutical ingredients including vitamins and herbal extracts. It does not contain drugs, parabens, or petroleum products; no known allergens, gentle for sensitive eyes.
Note: OcuLash is drug-free; does not contain bimatoprost, a drug used to treat glaucoma and the active ingredient in prescription (Rx) lash growth products. OcuLash will not darken eyelids or change iris pigmentation.
Multi-Purpose
OcuLash can be used on eyelashes, brows, and eyelids. It works beautifully as a lash plumper under mascara and can also help tighten wrinkled skin on the eyelids.
Easy Application & Use
OcuLash is a cosmetic product formulated as a clear gel that will not run. It absorbs completely with no residue and cannot be felt on the skin. OcuLash is available in a tube with an applicator brush. The suggested use is to apply OcuLash along the lash line or over the brow area twice per day for the first six (6) weeks, then apply nightly thereafter.

PeptiPlex®, Peptide Complex
PeptiPlex, peptide complex, is known to significantly improve the look of eyelashes: making them appear longer, thicker, and fortified. PeptiPlex complex noticeably intensifies eyelash expression.
PeptiPlex allows for a visible effect to lashes and brows in 2-4 weeks with best results appearing at 6 weeks.
Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root
Glycyrrhiza glabra root extract is an antioxidant and humectant skin-conditioning agent.
Camelia Sinensis Leaf Extract
Camelia sinensis leaf extract is derived from the leaves of a tea plant; commonly referred to as green tea extract. Green tea extract is associated with several hair and skin benefits and is naturally rich in antioxidants that protect lash hair and skin from the damaging effect of free radicals.
Euphrasia Officinalis Extract
Euphrasia Officinalis Extract, also known as Eyebright, is widely used in skin care products because of its antibacterial, astringent, and anti-inflammatory properties; helping to improve irritated or inflamed skin. Eyebright also helps improve the elasticity of hair and skin is one of the first adverse effects of aging.
Rosa Centifolia Flower Water
Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, from the flowers of the cabbage rose, is also known as Cabbage Rose Extract. This flower extract has skin-conditioning properties.
Tocopheryl Acetate
Tocopheryl acetate is a form of vitamin E and is a natural skin-conditioning agent attributed with antioxidant, anti-aging, moisturizing, and anti-inflammatory properties. Tocopherol acetate is a valued skincare active ingredient.
Retinyl Palmitate
Retinyl palmitate is a form of retinol (vitamin A). It belongs to the family of chemical compounds known as retinoids and is one of the most important vitamins for the appearance of the skin. Retinyl palmitate is considered an exfoliator and its effect of repeatedly shedding the upper dermal layer forces the skin to produce new cells; keeping the lash follicle base free of dead cell debris.
Allantoin
Allantoin is an emollient and moisturizer used to soften the skin. It helps prevent dry, rough, scaly, flaky and itchy skin.
Panthenol
Panthenol, a form of Vitamin B5, is used in hair and skin products because of its ability to attract moisture and build healthier hair and lashes. Panthenol makes lashes and hair thicker and shinier.
It is also a humectant, helping lash and hair products absorb and retain moisture. It has the unique ability to take moisture directly from the air before it binds to lash hair follicles, which results in lashes that are shinier and have more volume. In addition, the moisture that panthenol attracts can help prevent lashes from appearing dry or fragile.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance found in skin, hair, eyes, joints and nerves that acts as a cushion to promote collagen and elasticity; keeping us looking and feeling younger. HA holds 1,000 times its weight in water; performing as a strong magnet for moisture.
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein
Studies have shown that hydrolyzed wheat protein improves the tensile properties of eyelashes, particularly as they were drying. In other words, it helps keep lashes elastic by controlling the rate of moisture loss from the hair. This helps prevent breakage. The reason why it can influence the mechanical properties of lashes is because it can penetrate the cortex as evidenced by fluorescence studies. And the more damaged the lash has, the easier hydrolyzed wheat protein penetrates into the lash hair. Hydrolyzed wheat protein is known to help improve lash flexibility, provide a smooth feel (silky feel), improved moisture and help maintain the natural structure of eyelashes. Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein also helps replenish lashes with cysteine and help prevent further weakening of the hair fiber.
